Code of Conduct

Players, coaches and parents/guardians are required to adhere to this code of conduct. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in the participant's or coach's suspension or removal from the team.

THE ATHLETE AGREES TO:
1. Attend all practices as required. The athlete will notify the coach if she/he is unable to attend.
2. Be on time for all practices.
3. Come to practice focused to work.
4. Behave in a courteous, respectful and disciplined manner.
5. Act as a model citizen and carry himself/herself as a young lady/gentleman at all times.
6. Maintain a positive perspective and strive to be a good winner and good loser.
7. Strive for success and excellence in academics, athletics, and behavior.
8. Be respectful to each other, the coaches, other teams, officials, other adults and other people’s property.
9. Encourage other athletes as well as myself to be a good sport and engage in sportsmanlike conduct.
10. Refrain from the use of drugs or alcohol at all times.
11. Refrain from behavior that would endanger the health safety or well being of any coach, parent or athlete
including the use of profanity, threats, fighting, alcohol or drug
12. Respect the playing field including helping to clean up the playing area after the events.

THE COACHES AGREE TO:
1. Commit to the organizational rules of the sport that is coached.
2. Attend and manage all practices as required. The coaches will notify the athletes in the event that practice is
canceled.
3. Maintain a positive perspective and teach the athletes to be good winners and good losers.
4. Be respectful to each other, the athletes, parents, other teams, and officials.
5. Encourage and support the athletes to strive for success and excellence in academics, athletics, and discipline.
6. Encourage the athlete, other coaches, parents and myself to be a good sport and engage in sportsmanlike
conduct.
7. Refrain from the use of drugs or alcohol during any sports event and prohibit the use of drugs or alcohol by the
athlete at all times.
8. Refrain from behavior that would endanger the health safety or well being of any coach, parent or athlete
including the use of profanity, threats, fighting, alcohol or drugs.
9. Report any disagreements with athletes or parents to the appropriate conflict resolution committee.
10. Support the program philosophy, which is based on participation, fun, physical fitness and health, skill
development, teamwork, fair play, family involvement, competition and volunteer leadership.
11. Promote respect for the playing fields by seeing that the playing fields are cleaned up after events

THE PARENTS/GUARDIANS AGREE TO:
1. Pick up the athlete(s) promptly after practice, game or meet. In the event that my child is permitted to walk
home, I will provide written approval.
2. Respect the authority of the coaches and any decisions made regarding practices, event and meet selection,
and playing time.
3. Support the program philosophy, which is based on participation, fun, physical fitness and health, skill
development, teamwork, fair play, family involvement, competition and volunteer leadership.
4. Encourage the athlete as well as myself to be a good sport and engage in sportsmanlike conduct.
5. Refrain from the use of drugs or alcohol during any sports event and prohibit the use of drugs or alcohol by the
athlete at all times.
6. Refrain from behavior that would endanger the health safety or well being of any coach, parent or athlete
including the use of profanity, threats, fighting, alcohol or drugs.
7. Report any disagreements with coaches, athletes or other parents to the appropriate conflict resolution
committee.
8. Maintain respect for the playing and spectator areas by cleaning up any debris and depositing all trash in the
proper receptacles.
