South Orange Maplewood Travel Baseball

The SOM Cougars Travel Baseball Program provides a competitive, community-based baseball experience for players seeking a higher level of play and development.

Travel baseball at SOM is designed as a cohesive, year-round program, beginning with required winter training and continuing through spring league play and summer competition. Players train together, compete together, and represent South Orange and Maplewood as Cougars throughout the year.

Our goals are to:

• Offer more competitive baseball against nearby towns 
• Strengthen our community through shared team experiences 
• Provide enhanced coaching and training across multiple seasons 
• Operate a fair, transparent, and inclusive program
