SOM Baseball has scheduled a series of coaching clinics for new and veteran coaching volunteers to help get prepared for the Spring 2021 season.

All coaches are welcome to coaching clinics as well as  player parents are also invited to attend clinics. However, please note that these clinics are for coaches/parents, not players. Please leave your player at home.

 

T-BALL/ROOKIE COACHING CLINIC

  • REQUIRED FOR ALL T-BALL AND ROOKIE COACHES
  • Saturday, April 17 at 10am-11:30am – New Waterlands

PLEASE NOTE: EVERY T-BALL AND ROOKIE TEAM MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE COACH PRESENT AT THIS CLINIC. The SOM Baseball T-Ball and Rookie league schedules incorporate a practice and game format. In this clinic, experienced coaches and SOM Baseball representatives will review these guidelines, share their ideas and experience of running your team’s first practices/games. New coaches will see how easy and fun it is to take a team of younger players through a series of simple drills—keeping everyone engaged and learning some new skills. Other practical topics, such as player safety, appropriate equipment, communicating to parents, field locations, and more, will be covered in detail.
